We worked on the Banadad Trail New Years Day (1/1/2025)

Banadad's new roller/compactor

Here we are setting up our new roller/compactor; this came with a Grant from the North Star Ski Touring Club

We spend the day repacking and clearing (for the 5th time) the 1st 10K of the Banadad Trail.

The downfall has be really difficult. But it is all cleared again (and packed).

There have been skiers each day using the Trail (on just the packed base).

We just have not got any new snow. We will try and scratch tracks as soon as we can. That is not perfect but there is just no new snow in the next 10 day forecast.

If we can lay down a track, I will post and update Skinny Ski

FYI: While we were working we found the Moose antler shed and the tree the bull moose used to "rub it off"

Half moose antler

Here is our chief groomer with the shed (she found it); We hunted for the other half but could not find it.

Bonnie and the moose shed she found

Here is the place on the antler that came off the bull moose skull; this sheding does not hurt the moose. They grow them each year and shed then after the mating season (rut). They are quite heavy (this half was quite a few pounds) antler size depends on age/size/health of the moose and the available browse/food/nutrition. Pretty amazing to grow and shed antlers annually.
